Gold Ore Store LLC is the controller of personal information covered by this policy. This policy does not govern a third party's independent privacy practices, even when its service is linked to or integrated with our Services.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping address, and organization when applicable.
  • Account and security information: account identifier, encrypted password, verification method, authentication and session records, and account preferences.
  • Transaction and commercial information: products viewed, cart contents, watchlists, alerts, order and sell-to-us details, payment method, payment status, shipping and fulfillment details, receipts, returns, and customer-service history.
  • Payment-related information: payment tokens and limited transaction details returned by our payment processor, such as authorization status, transaction identifier, and masked card information. See Section 6.
  • Communications: contact-form submissions, emails, texts, call details, feedback, and other information you choose to provide.
  • Device and usage information: IP address as processed by our hosting and security providers, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, approximate referral source, campaign tags, language, timezone, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events.
  • Compliance and fraud-prevention information: information used to confirm identity, authority, payment validity, lawful ownership, sanctions status, or other legal and risk requirements.
  • Derived information: preferences or insights reasonably inferred from purchases, watchlists, alerts, and interactions with the Services.

3. Sources of information

We collect personal information from:

  • you, including when you register, check out, request a quote, contact us, or visit our store;
  • your browser or device through cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, logs, and similar technologies;
  • service providers and transaction partners, including payment processors, identity and fraud-prevention providers, communications providers, hosting providers, carriers, and fulfillment or wholesale partners; and
  • publicly available sources and information permitted by law.

4. How and why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • create and secure accounts, deliver verification codes, and prevent unauthorized access;
  • verify live pricing and availability, process payments, fulfill and ship orders, issue receipts, and provide customer support;
  • evaluate sell-to-us requests and complete purchases from customers;
  • operate watchlists, market alerts, saved carts, analytics, and other requested features;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, chargebacks, and prohibited transactions;
  • communicate about transactions, service changes, safety, and—where permitted—products or offers;
  • comply with tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, court-order, and other legal obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect our customers, business, and the public.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performance of a contract, steps taken at your request, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers: companies that support hosting, data storage, security, analytics, communications, customer support, and business operations.
  • Payment and transaction partners: payment processors, banks, fraud-prevention providers, carriers, insurers, and fulfillment or wholesale partners as needed to complete a transaction.
  • Advertising and analytics partners: providers that measure site use or campaign effectiveness. Their use of information is subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
  • Professional advisors: auditors, accountants, insurers, and legal or financial advisors.
  • Authorities and other parties for legal reasons: when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, transactions, or the integrity of the Services.
  • Business-transfer recipients: parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Others at your direction or with your consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to include certain advertising or analytics disclosures. You may exercise applicable opt-out rights as described in Section 8. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.

6. Payment information

Card information entered during online checkout is transmitted to Authorize.net for client-side tokenization and payment processing. Gold Ore Store's servers are designed not to receive or store your full card number or card security code. We receive a secure token and limited records needed to confirm, reconcile, support, refund, or dispute the transaction. Other payment methods, including ACH or arrangements made with our desk, may require additional information and are handled under the applicable provider's privacy and security practices.

7. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep accounts signed in, maintain security, remember carts and preferences, understand site performance, measure traffic, and evaluate marketing. The Site may use browser local storage and session storage for a cart, anonymous visitor and session identifiers, landing-page information, and campaign attribution.

Our first-party traffic measurement stores hashed anonymous visitor and session keys, route paths, referral-domain labels, and aggregate browser context; its event records are designed not to store raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs, arbitrary query strings, or customer identities. Our infrastructure and security providers may separately process IP addresses and request logs. If enabled, the Meta Pixel may receive page, device, browser, IP, and event information under Meta's own privacy terms.

You can limit cookies or stored site data through your browser and adjust advertising preferences with the relevant provider. Blocking necessary storage may prevent account, cart, or checkout features from working. Where applicable law requires recognition of a valid universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat that signal as required for the browser or device that sends it.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information; correction; deletion; portability; restriction or objection; withdrawal of consent; and an opt-out from sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also have the right to appeal our response and to receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email us at thegoldorestore@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or contact us using Section 14. Tell us the right you want to exercise and the state or country where you live. We may need to verify your identity and request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to proof of authority and identity verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in the message or by contacting us. Transactional, security, and account communications may continue while necessary to provide the Services. You may lodge a complaint with your local privacy or data-protection authority where that right applies. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain an account, complete and support transactions, meet tax and accounting requirements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type and sensitivity of information, the relationship and transaction, operational need, and applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely isolate it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, account verification, encrypted transport, payment tokenization, rate limiting, and service monitoring. No system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, protect verification codes, and contact us promptly if you believe your account or transaction has been compromised.

11. International transfers

Gold Ore Store is based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our providers operate. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards.

12. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, practices, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide any additional notice required by law. Your continued use of the Services after an update is subject to the revised policy.
